Saint Joseph’s Hospital*

location

Atlanta, GA

description

This 140-page coffee table book was commissioned to help celebrate the 125th anniversary of Saint Joseph’s, Atlanta’s oldest hospital. The work had been started by another agency, but was not progressing as expected. So, on a relatively short turnaround ... research was completed, interviews were done, photos and mementos were gathered and scanned or photographed—and on and on it went for weeks. In the end, the book was produced on time and hospital management was thrilled.

Saint Joseph’s Hospital*

location

Atlanta, GA

description

Today, Atlanta’s Marriott Marquis Hotel is located at the corner of Baker Street and Courtland Street. But more than 125 years ago, a modest house there became Atlanta’s first hospital. Started by a group of nuns from Savannah, the hospital would go on to become Saint Joseph’s Hospital. This bronze historical marker is affixed to the Marriott Marquis commemorating the historic site.

* Disclaimer: The Saint Joseph’s work was done by Tom when he was an on staff graphic designer. However, pretty cool stuff ... and Brand Cultivation can do similar work for you!
